While the Santa Monica Symphony supplements its ranks with the services of a limited number of student and professional players, the foundation of the orchestra is composed of over 60 volunteer community musicians. Some of these performers have been professional musicians in the past, but have gone on to pursue full-time careers in other fields such as medicine, business, law, education and public service. The group prides itself in the friendships that have developed among its members.
The following roster salutes these volunteer members of the orchestra that dedicate hours of rehearsal and preparation time for each of the Symphony's free-to-the-public concerts.
