What to Expect

The concerts are free. Do I have to have a ticket?

No. You do not need a ticket to attend Santa Monica Symphony concerts.

However, because our concerts are popular and seating is limited, we strongly encourage you to RSVP in advance. RSVPs help us plan for attendance, communicate important concert updates, and create the best possible experience for our audience.
All seating is general admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis. An RSVP does not guarantee a seat, so we recommend arriving early, especially for popular programs.

The auditorium will open one hour before the concert begins. We encourage all guests to be seated at least 15 minutes prior to the start time.

Santa Monica Symphony concerts are typically about 2 hours long, with an intermission of about 15 minutes.

First and foremost, be comfortable. Many people come in business casual or dress up, but you’ll see jeans to cocktail attire and everything in between.

We love to see kids at the Santa Monica Symphony and believe early exposure to music is important. Please contact us at info@smsymphony.org if you’re wondering which performances might be right for your child (or where to sit in case you need to make an early escape).
